In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, AUTHORIZED AGENT, NATHAN KEITH SOBEY, PERM. ADD.: STURGEON COUNTY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B.: DECEMBER 17, 1991, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 456(ix); A monetary penalty and/or a suspension may be applied by the starter or by the Judges for any of the following violations contained in subsections (i)-(vii). In addition, the Judges may place the offending horse for a violation of subsections (iii), (iv) or (vi) of this rule: changes course or position, or swerves in or out, or bears in or out during any part of the race in a manner that compels another horse to shorten its stride or cause another driver to change course, take the horse back, or pull his horse out of its stride; while driving “STAINLESS STEEL” in Race 3, Saturday, January 10, 2026.

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 276(2)(a) “STAINLESS STEEL” is DISQUALIFIED from 1st and placed 6th.

PENALTY: NATHAN SOBEY is hereby SUSPENDED FOR TWO (2) RACE DAYS (DRIVING ONLY), JANUARY 17 AND JANUARY 18, 2026.

TRAINER/OWNER, AUTHORIZED AGENT, CHRISTOPHER RONALD LANCASTER, PERM. ADD.: AIRDRIE, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. JANUARY 9, 1991, is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) for failing to notify HORSE RACING ALBERTA security that the horse “BET HE ROCKS” would be shipped-in to Century Mile Racetrack on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Policy No. RPL012 dated August 14, 2024.

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 123(1), 286(a), and 296(1)(a)(2)(a).

JOCKEY, RICARDO MORENO ANDRADE, PERM. ADD.: LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. NOVEMBER 25, 1995, is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) for the misuse of the riding crop during training hours on Wednesday, April 2, 2024.

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 286(a) and 296(1)(a)(2)(a).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid within ten (10) days.

MEETING: Century Mile Racetrack & Casino

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, DRIVER FARRIER/PLATER, THOMAS MICHAEL MILLER, PERM. ADD.: CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. JANUARY 13, 1985, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 460;

Drivers shall keep both feet in the stirrups during the post parade, while in front of the grandstand, and from the time the horses are brought to the starting gate until the race has been completed. Drivers shall be permitted to remove a foot from the stirrups during the course of the race solely for the purpose of pulling ear plugs and once these have been pulled, the foot must be placed back into the stirrup. If a driver’s foot is in or out of the stirrup, he or she shall not allow his/her foot to hit a horse in any manner; while driving #7 “ELECTRIC AMADEUS” in Race 2, Wednesday December 31, 2025. PENALTY: THOMAS MILLER is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).
